Order: 12 O'Clock High TV Series on DVD Season 1-Criterion Edition Critics and fans alike hail the first season as the best. Robert Lansing gave one of the great series performances as Brigadier General Frank Savage. Its hard to know who gave the better performance, Gregory Peck (in the movie) or Robert Lansing-and that is high praise for Lansing. Stories ranged from the physcology in the cockpit, to the casualties of war, to suspense, to even murder mysteries and a love story.
